Dr. Hamilton graduated magna cum laude from the honor’s program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. While there, he was accepted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical school honor society. After graduating, Dr. Hamilton was chief resident during his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. From there, he headed to Dallas to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center to complete his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship.
Upon completion of his training, Dr. Hamilton returned to his hometown of Houston in 1999 where he practiced at Memorial Radiology Associates as both a diagnostic and interventional radiologist. His dream of opening Houston’s first outpatient interventional radiology practice became a reality in March 2010 with the opening of the Hamilton Institute and the Hamilton Vein Center in Sugar Land.
To treat vein disease most effectively and completely, the source of the vein problem must be discovered. Without spending the time and effort to discover the source of the problem incomplete treatment is invariably the result.
With a formal training in diagnosing vascular ultrasound, Dr. Hamilton recognizes the importance of having a thorough understanding of ultrasound and how to perform an ultrasound examination. Dr. Hamilton completed one of the top Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship programs in the country and has performed thousands of vein and vascular procedures.

“It’s amazing the advancements that have been made in the diagnosis and treatment of vein disorders since I started practicing 15-plus years ago. It’s so nice to see that look of relief on my patients’ faces when they hear the words “not painful, quick recovery period, outpatient”as I describe their treatment options. Each minimally invasive technique performs a specific function that allows me to pinpoint an underlying vein issue, then target and treat it with little to no pain. Nothing is more gratifying than helping restore health and confidence to my patients who’ve been suffering from pain or embarrassment because of the way their legs look and feel.”

I found the staff very friendly and caring and the appointments prompt. I’m excited about my follow up appointments because total healing is in sight.
I had a severe case of restless leg syndrome and my legs hurt and felt heavy. The procedure has greatly improved my everyday life.
Since my procedures, I’ve felt so much better in every way. Having my legs treated has been a life-changing event. I have walked more in the past 2 days than I have in the past 2 months.
