Here's to a Fun Fabulous Festive Fall
Sure summer is awesome with its long days, fun in the sun, but it sure is H-O-T. So when that first front comes through Houston and the coals go a bit cooler, we welcome fall with a great big , “Heck ya!”
Fall is summer’s cooler, funner (should be a word!) sister with its lineup of festive holidays, crisp days, and color changes, so let’s celebrate with some fun and fabulous ways to make the most of it!
FALL IS FUN
Now that our 7-month sauna experience is over, we need to take our workouts outside and get some real air! One of our patients said that she was out running the other morning and saw her first “orange tinted” leaf of fall. We Houstonians don’t get to experience a New England style change of seasons so this small experience with “the one orange leaf” is a big deal!
The other fun change you can make to your fall workout routine is to change up your equipment and switch out your workout buddy with this hunk of orange fabulousness.
We’ve compiled a pumpkin mash-up workout, featuring our favorite exercises that usually require hand weights or a medicine ball. But before you get started, get in the mood with some spooky tunes.

FALL IS FESTIVE
Festive Drink –Pumpkin Spice Latte
Nothing smells or tastes like fall than a creamy, delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte. Save some calories and some money by making this healthy version at home.
Ingredients
1 cup hot coffee
2 tbsp canned pumpkin
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, heat – if desired
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Sweetener to taste (optional–calories not included)
Directions
Whisk together 1/3 cup coffee and remaining ingredients in a tall heat-resistant glass or mix in a blender.
Carefully pour the pumpkin mixture into the remaining coffee and serve immediately.
Serving Size: 1
